RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MICROSCOPIC AND MACROSCOPIC INTERACTIONS IN LOW ENERGY NUCLEAR REACTIONS: Lessons Learned from D+D4He
نویسنده
چکیده
For a long time, Cold Fusion (CF) seemed to be at odds with conventional Physics both experimentally and theoretically. A key reason for this involved confusion about the possibility that processes involving characteristic length scales of nuclearand atomicsize dimensions could couple to each other without releasing high momentum particles. As experiments have improved, this situation has changed. In the paper, we identify and contrast a number of common themes associated with the manner in which five of the more refined theories have addressed this problem.

Investigation of Sarcocystis Infection in Slaughtered Goats in Jahrom Abattoir
Background and Objective: Sarcocyst infection is one of the most common zoonotic protozoan diseases caused by different Sarcocystis spp. Given the importance of this infection in public health, the infection rate of macroscopic and microscopic sarcocysts in slaughtered goats was determined in Jahrom abattoir. Materials and Methods : Between April and June in 2011, six tissues including the esop...
متن کاملA Characterization of the Entropy--Gibbs Transformations
Let h be a finite dimensional complex Hilbert space, b(h)+ be the set of all positive semi-definite operators on h and Phi is a (not necessarily linear) unital map of B(H) + preserving the Entropy-Gibbs transformation. Then there exists either a unitary or an anti-unitary operator U on H such that Phi(A) = UAU* for any B(H) +. Thermodynamics, a branch of physics that is concerned with the study...
متن کاملSpatial Behavior of Individuals and Groups: Preliminary Findings from a Museum Scenario
In order to better understand human navigation, way-finding, and general spatial behavior, we are conducting research into the effects of social interactions among individuals within a shared space. This paper describes work in the integration of instrumentation of active public areas, macroscopic modeling, microscopic simulation, and experimentation with human subjects. The aim is to produce e...
متن کاملMacroscopic-microscopic approach to the nuclear fission process
A model based on the macroscopic-microscopic approach for calculating the fission-fragment properties is presented. Using this model, a large set of experimental data measured in lowand high-energy fission can be reproduced using one and same set of model parameters.
متن کاملMacroscopic-microscopic Mass Models
We discuss recent developments in macroscopic-microscopic mass models, including the 1992 finite-range droplet model, the 1992 extended-ThomasFermi Strutinsky-integral model, and the 1994 Thomas-Fermi model, with particular emphasis on how well they extrapolate to new regions of nuclei. We also address what recent developments in macroscopic-microscopic mass models are teaching us about such ph...
